Biggest let down in 09: Guinness 250 Anniversary stout

After long adieu Guinness 250 sits before us. Celebrating the first 250 years after the lease signing in the Dublin brewery..... this should be historic. Things legacies are made of.... a stout that would make Arthur Guinness proud. I picked up a six pack at my local grocer and anxiously poured... after a sip or two... disappointment settled. Stout my ass! Who put Newcastle in my Guinness? What the fuck is this? Arthur Guinness is rolling in his grave. It was like the head honchos atop the Guinness corporate building had a conference over their starbucks mochafrappacappachinos and were like “ So... uh.. we got this 250th anniversary coming up... numbers show that we are down. Lets just spring for a commercial and add water to regular Guinness and call it a recession blend.” I’m not saying that it’s bad.... because its not, its just not the stout you would expect after 250 years in Dublin. You cant respectively call it a stout at all for that matter. You would think that they would come with it! Add some oomph! Some shit that impresses! So we can applaud and rejoice like the commercials say. Biggest let down in 09: Guinness 250 Anniversary stout. I’m not mad... I’m just disappointed.
